I love Anne McCaffrey for her Pern series, and while it will always be my favorite of her works, it doesn’t make the others any less worth reading.

I recently came across Powers That Be, and craving a good science fiction I had no choice but to try it out.

I wasn’t disappointed.

Anne McCaffrey and Elizabeth Ann Scarborough make a brilliant team if their creation is any indication. As science fiction this story is unique, well thought out, written in the quality you would expect for such well respected writers, as well as utterly captivating.

There are also two sequels to this story, something I love to discover about books I’ve enjoyed.
