Music for the mind, the soul and the muse.

Well hello there!

Fancy meeting you here. This is a rather fabulous coincidence — you see, I was just hoping someone would stop by so I could pick their brain for a few minutes. I hope you don’t mind, but your brain looks especially pick-able.

I’m looking to expand my music repertoire… and considering it is rather limited at the moment, it should be pretty easy. Perhaps you might be able to make some recommendations for me?

To help you out I’ll explain what kind of music I’m looking for, (how considerate eh?).

Alright.
I’m in need of some really good instrumental music. I’m looking for instrumental because it contains no distracting lyrics and thus I won’t stop working to sing along! As fun as it is, it’s rather terrible for productivity.

Nothing too radical, mind blowing or creepy – it is supposed to aid the thinking process not destroy it entirely. I find that I particularly enjoy violin, flute/pipes, harp and piano. That doesn’t mean I’m not open to other instruments.

This is your chance to open my mind to the music of other cultures as well – I heard some amazing Chinese traditional music the other day, not sure what it was, but it was perfect – so I’m not limiting you to Johann Sebastian Bach!

Friends, Twitterpeeps, countrymen — lend me your music!
