Let’s talk about fonts.

I am by no means an expert on fonts – I can tell you which ones I like, which ones I don’t and the basic category that they fall into. Some of the time I might be right.
In fact, my knowledge of fonts is much like my knowledge of wine – yet the lack thereof doesn’t stop me from enjoying either.
I personally enjoy fonts that are unique, yet still easy to read – I prefer my wine red and dry.
The point of this post is not to educate you on how incredibly uneducated I happen to be, but rather to point you in the direction of a resource that might just come in handy. Fonts can be expensive. Especially if you find yourself in need of more than one. If you come across that one perfect font that you just can’t live without – then it might be worth it to pony up the cash. Otherwise – it might not!

Free fonts are pretty easy to find – fonts that are free for commercial use are slightly less common. As fabulous as Veer.com is, not all of us are designers with specific requirements. Some of us are faintly impoverished writers just looking to make it in the big bad world.

If you fall anywhere near the latter category, and wish to save your $50 for sushi and a few drinks – then check out www.fontsquirrel.com. It was recommended to me, and after trying it out and finding it more than satisfying, I am passing it on to you.

Enjoy!
