You can tell I’m excited by the fact that I used caps in my title. :P SEE!! ^

So… It’s Star Wars Day – if you didn’t know this already I’m a little bit disappointed but also a little happy that I got to be the one to share it with you! (This is also the reason half your feed on whatever social media platform you prefer has been filled with the cryptic message “May the 4th be with you!”)

You may not know this about me, but yours truly is an avid Star Wars fan. I vividly remember the first time I ever watched “A New Hope”. It was at my sisters house and the incident with the tauntaun was pretty horrific for my young brain. But I survived and subsequently became addicted. That movie was the reason I fell in love with all things extra terrestrial… and Harrison Ford. It was a slippery slope from there; I devoured the next two movies and as many books on the topic that I could possibly get my hands on. Star Wars novels remain to this day some of my favorite works of science fiction. There are a few series that I have read…. many… many times.

I’m not sure why I never reviewed most of them; perhaps I just assumed that they were so good that everyone must know about them already. I’ll have to rectify that rather terrible oversight in the not too distant future.

So yes… this is a little off topic for me – I usually only post books and keep the personal to a minimum. But IT’S STAR WARS DAY, so I hope you’ll forgive me.

I was sincerely hoping that the major ebook retailers would get on the boat and have a sale or two on Star Wars ebooks I could share; but they all missed out on this one. Even the Kindle Daily Deal is sadly lacking any Star Wars reference. (Their only nod to the day is the Complete Saga for Blu-ray on sale… not even the Trilogy, you have to get the whole darn thing. -sniff-)

I’ll exit even further from my usual topics and we’ll talk about paper books and memorabilia instead.

Barnes & Noble is having a Star Wars Day Sale – it features all kinds of books (paper), Star Wars Gifts, Comics; all on super sale. TODAY ONLY.

I know… I know… It’s beautiful.

Indigo Books and Music is also featuring a Star Wars themed event; with some Star Wars products on sale.

And that seems to be it for the book-ish websites… if I’ve missed something good (especially in regards to Star Wars ebooks), feel free to yell at me in the comments. I’ll happily print a retraction if you find something good!
